Warm Wishes for 2026

As we welcome 2026, I hope the new year has brought you good luck and perhaps inspired thoughts of trout fishing adventures ahead. With the promise of fresh experiences, I imagine you’re looking forward to spending time on the water, casting for trout, and enjoying the natural beauty surrounding you.

Personally, the past six weeks have been a special time spent in Texas with my daughters, filled with quality moments and lasting memories. Now, I am back in the Eastern Sierra, specifically Bishop, eager to return to the river and get behind the oars of my driftboat. This is truly one of my favorite times of year, especially being on the Lower Owens River. The anticipation of reconnecting with nature and indulging in trout fishing fills me with excitement as I prepare to return to one of my favorite places.
